info & faq—PLZ READ

disclaimer: urban exploration can be dangerous and may be illegal. this site is for informational purposes only. visitors are fully responsible for their own safety and compliance with local laws. the site owner is not liable for any injuries, damages, or legal issues.

THE UNSPOKEN RULE:
take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints.

how do you find spots?
urbexology is a great databank for urbex coordinates. that is, however, its only function—there are no provided instructions & frequently very little information. some places may be demolished or undergoing construction by the time you get there.

is it safe? will i get in trouble?
no, it is not safe & yes, trespassing and "vandalism" [grafitti/tagging] are illegal. there are, however, guidelines to keep you relatively safe. generally, you are better off choosing locations with security guards or regular patrols than remote, abandoned areas. a police officer might give you a hard time or issue a fine, whereas strangers in isolated places [especially at night] can be unpredictable, hostile & dangerous. stick to the former if you're uneasy or defenseless. carry something to protect yourself with for the latter. trust your gut when encountering strangers. be wary of places that appear very accessible or easy to get into [e.g. open construction sites]. watch out for rotting wood or shaky foundations when entering buildings. don't crawl or jump down anywhere you're not sure you'll be able to climb back up.
